Kenneth William Kush, 69, of Kailua-Kona died March 28 at his residence. Born in Chicago, Ill., he retired as a chief petty officer after 26 years of service in the U.S. Navy. He taught scuba diving and led tours for Kona Coast Divers, and worked at the Kona Costco for several years, and finished the Waikoloa Lavaman triathlon twice. Services to be held at a later date. Survived by wife, Barbara Kush of Kailua-Kona; son, Kenneth (Virginia) of New Jersey; sister, Karen Schuster or Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sandra “Sandy” Ruth Teer, 65, of Hilo died Friday, April 5, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a retired assistant manager for the former Western Auto, and a member of the Berean Bible Church and its Bible study group. Jeanne Testa, 72, of Volcano died Tuesday, April 9, at the Pohi Malama Hospice in Hilo. Born in New Jersey and retired as a court reporter with the U.S. Army. Also retired as a sergeant 1st class.
